“Manage Your Capacity”
This last but not least lesson from the book “What to Do When There’s Too Much To Do.” is more than the corollary of the Productivity Workflow Formula that the author give us. This chapter is the hub holding every step together, and to take the Run Past the Base.
Allow me to share with you all my friends a personal testimonial. It is about when my father used to tell all of us -his family- that with with health we can do or make everything. The fact is that he indeed took care for each of us, however he neglected his own health. To my entire family, his experience was a true example that, at the end, each of us are the most important person in our life.
In this chapter the author points out that there are many things can affect our ability to manage our capacity but the most important factor is US: Our Health, Our Determination, and Our Energy Level.
She gives us to take in consideration the following PHYSICAL FACTORS.
- Sleep: 7-8 hours
- Diet. I follow the 60/40 model, and drink Alkaline and Hydrogen Water.
- Exercise, e.g., subversive exercise.
Other factors that Laura tell us is about to take care of our Six Areas of Health, Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, Mental, Social. Talking about, for instance, Mental Health, she recommends,
- Make empowered choices
- Spend more time with your loved ones
- Do something nice for someone else
- Laugh at adversity
- Surround yourself with happy things and people.
Here, an excellent tool is to belong and follow the teachings, insights, recommendations of the 30 Day-Mental-Cleanse Forum.
Finally, my concept about Social Health is create rapport, sell our feelings, that our relationship must be You and I, and not I and It.
